To date, four burial grounds dating from the 10th to the first half of the 13th century have been discovered and partially researched here.</p> <p>The first burial ground was located between St. Kudryavs’ka (in the north) and St. Sichovykh Striltsiv (in the south), and between the continuation of the St. Kudryavs’ka (in the west) and Voznesensky Descent (in the east). During the excavations of this burial ground – from 1989 to 2018, 134 burials of the XI-XIII centuries were investigated. The total area of the burial ground: ≈2.88 hectares.</p> <p>The second (near the church) burial ground was located on Voznesensky Descent, 20. It was found in 1947 during the study of the foundations of the ancient Rus’ church, where 35 burials of the second half of the XI-XII centuries were discovered. The total area of the burial ground: ≈2.50 hectares.</p> <p>The third (near the church) burial ground was located north of the second and was located nearby: on the Voznesensky Descent, 22. A number of burials were discovered during the study of the foundations of the church of the late 12th century in 1989–1990. The total area of the burial ground: ≈1.65 hectares.</p> <p>The fourth (near the church) burial ground, the burials of which were excavated in 1985, 1987, and 1990, was located on a hillside, along Kiyanivs’ky Lane, 4 and 10–10–B. There were opened 15 burials of the XII – first half of the XIII century, which belonged to the church of the end of the XI century, which could be located at the corner of Kianivsky Lane and Vozdvyzhensky Descent. The total area of the burial ground: ≈2.29 hectares.</p> <p>Thus, at present, in the territory of Kopyrev kinec’, a total of 219 burials of ancient times have been discovered and studied, and the total area of all four burial grounds could be almost 10 hectares.</p>}, number={11 (4)}, journal={City: History, Culture, Society}, author={Kozlovskiy, Arkadiy and Kryzhanovskyi, Viacheslav}, year={2021}, month={Feb.}, pages={130–155} }
